Policies

Accepted Forms of Payment

Furry Migration is a cashless convention. RegFox, our online registration partner, accepts most major credit cards, such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and
Discover. Furry Migration does not accept cash, checks, PayPal or any crypto currencies.

When registering you must enter the exact billing address of the card you are using, or the transaction may decline. RegFox’s card processing system verifies the billing addresses of all credit/debit cards.

If an error occurs when checking out, duplicate charges may appear on the purchaser’s credit/debit card. These charges are temporary and will typically be reversed within five business days. If the erroneous charge(s) have not been reversed after five business days, contact the Registration department for assistance.

Please note: While Furry Migration itself is a cashless convention, its registered third-party vendors may accept alternative forms of payment, such as cash. Each vendor has discretion over which forms of payment they choose to accept.

Access to Convention Programming

All registered attendees shall receive access to convention programming which is appropriate for their age, and our Consuite. All registered attendees, except those who purchased a Sunday-only day pass, shall receive access to Furry Migration for the entirety of the convention.

The majority of our programming at Furry Migration is, at most, PG-13 rated, with much of it being PG. Any registered attendee may attend any of this programming, with the exception of special events which are held solely for our Sponsor and/or Super Sponsor level attendees. We do however have some “adult” (18+) programming in the evenings, and later at night. Individuals wishing to attend any adult programming will be subject to an ID check. Individuals under the age of 18 years will not be permitted to attend these programs, regardless of parental permission.

Badge Names

Attendees may choose anything that is both family appropriate and of reasonable length, by the discretion of Registration leadership, for their badge name. Inappropriate names will not be allowed. Furry Migration reserves the right to alter or shorten badge names as necessary.

For any questions or concerns regarding whether or not a badge name is appropriate, please contact the Registration department using the Contact Us form in the contact menu at the top of this page.

Note: Emojis are not supported at this time.

Badges vs. Memberships

Furry Migration does not sell memberships. Instead, the convention sells tickets, referred to as badges, to a yearly event. With that in mind, the legal owner of a badge is the attendee listed on the registration, not the person who purchased it.

Only the registered attendee is permitted to pick up, relinquish or transfer their badge. Furry Migration does not allow attendees to pick up badges for their friends, significant others or spouses.

Day Passes

Furry Migration offers a day pass for Sunday-only. These passes are only available for purchase on-site during the Sunday of the convention. For individuals wishing to attend Furry Migration on Friday and/or Saturday, a regular registration, appropriate to the attendee’s age, must be purchased.

At this time, Furry Migration does not offer day passes for Friday or Saturday, or overnight passes while Registration is closed.

I.D. Requriements

Every person who wishes to attend Furry Migration must present a valid photo ID. This is to help keep the convention a safe and fun place open to all ages, as well as ensure that only the registered attendee is able to pick up their badge.

The ID must bear the attendee’s legal name, date of birth and photograph, and be issued by a state or national government. If you require assistance in determining what types of identification are acceptable, please contact the Registration department using the Contact Us form in the contact menu at the top of this page.

All attendees’ forms of identification must match the legal name used to register for Furry Migration.

Lost Badges

If an attendee loses or misplaces their badge at the convention, a replacement badge can be purchased from Registration for a reprint fee of $20. The attendee must bring their photo ID for a replacement badge to be issued. If the badge is lost again, the full price of the badge will be charged for any additional replacements.

A partial refund of the reprint fee may be issued if the original badge is found, and the replacement badge is returned before Registration closes on the Sunday of the convention.

Refunds

While we understand that life can sometimes complicate your plans, Furry Migration does not issue refunds for completed registrations. For registered attendees that are no longer able to attend Furry Migration, we offer both badge transfers and rollovers free of cost while pre-registration is open for the convention year in which the registration was purchased for. For more information, please refer to our transfer or rollover policies.

In the event an attendee registers multiple times for Furry Migration, it is the attendee’s responsibility to notify the Registration department of the duplicate registration(s). Once the duplicate registration(s) have been confirmed by the Registration department, the registered attendee will have the choice of receiving a refund for the cost of their duplicate registration(s) or a rollover of the duplicate registration(s) to the following convention year. Attendees must notify the Registration department of any duplicate registrations before Registration closes on the Sunday of the convention. Any duplicate registrations submitted after Registration closes shall only be eligible for rollover to the following convention year.

All notifications of duplicate registration(s) must be RECEIVED by September 30th. Notifications submitted after this deadline will be ineligible for both refund and rollover.

Minors

Furry Migration welcomes any individual who wishes to attend our convention regardless of age. All individuals under the age of 18 years old, as of the Opening Ceremonies of Furry Migration, will be expected to abide by our Minors Policy, in addition to our Code of Conduct and Registration policies. These policies are in place for the safety of all attendees, as well as to protect the convention, its staff and volunteers. If the minor turns 18 years old during the convention, Furry Migration will, upon their request, happily provide them with a standard adult attendee badge as a birthday gift on or after the date of their 18th birthday.

A completed and signed parental consent form is required for all minors attending Furry Migration.

For our event, Furry Migration recognizes three distinct categorizations of minors. Please read the following sections carefully to determine which situation applies to yourself and/or your minor.

The minor is of any age under 16 years old:

All individuals under the age of 16 years old, as of the Opening Ceremonies of Furry Migration, are required to have a parent or legal guardian present when they check in at the convention, in addition to a completed and signed parental consent form. Minors in this age group must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times while in the convention space. The parent or legal guardian must be a registered attendee of the convention.

Attendees under the age of 7 years old, as of the Opening Ceremonies of Furry Migration, can only be registered in-person at Furry Migration, and will receive free admission to the convention when accompanied by their registered parent or legal guardian.

The parental consent form does not require notarization if the minor is attending Furry Migration with their parent or legal guardian.

The minor is 16-17 years old:

All individuals whose age is 16-17 years old, as of the Opening Ceremonies of Furry Migration, are required to have a parent or legal guardian present when they check in at the convention, in addition to a completed and signed parental consent form. Minors in this age group will be must present a valid, government issued photo ID, or a school ID displaying their name and photograph to pick up their badge. If a minor does not have a form of ID, a copy of their birth certificate, along with parental attestation can be accepted.

Parents and legal guardians of minors in this age group are requested to stay on property while their children are at the convention, but are not required to accompany the minor while in the convention space.

The parental consent form does not require notarization if the minor is attending Furry Migration with their parent or legal guardian.

The minor is 16-17 years old AND attending Furry Migration without their parent/legal guardian:

Individuals whose age is 16-17 years old, as of the Opening Ceremonies of Furry Migration, are permitted to attend Furry Migration without a parent or legal guardian in accompaniment. Unaccompanied minors are required to have a completed, signed AND notarized parental consent form, in addition to a valid form of photo ID issued by a state or national government. The name on the minor’s identification must match the name on both their parental consent form and registration.

Furry Migration will not accept the parental consent form of any unaccompanied minor if it is not notarized, nor will we accept parental consent granted via phone, text or email. Minors that do not meet requirements will be refused admission to Furry Migration without exception.

For individuals traveling from outside the United States, Notary Publics may also be known as a Commissioner for Oaths. US Consular Services in most nations may also have notaries on staff at consular locations that can notarize the consent form for you as well.

Furry Migration reserves the right to update these policies at any time without prior notice.
