Our underlying goal since the formation of this convention has been to keep attendees safe, and to avoid any undue risk to the attendance of Furry Migration. Virus or no virus, Furry Migration wants our congoers to be safe at our convention. To that end we have been actively monitoring local, regional, and national infection rates. Monitoring local and national governmental guidance. Monitoring policies at larger event venues. Watching what other events and convention policies are, and the results of those choices. In addition, we stay mindful of individuals who are at a heightened risk of complications, and how these policies can impact the ability of those people to attend our convention. We have taken all these things into consideration. We understand and can appreciate that whatever choice we make will not be welcomed by all, but when we make a policy decision, we are doing so for the totality of our attendance.
At the time of this writing, it has been decided that for Furry Migration we will be lifting the COVID-19 vaccination, and mask requirement. We will continue to monitor the situation as we approach the convention and adjust our policy based on infection rates, and state / federal guidance. We do not take this decision lightly but feel that the risk to our attendees by removing these mandates is negligible, at this time.
While Furry Migration hopes that we will not need to reverse this change, we are also aware that things may change especially as we go into the latter months of the year. We will continue to monitor the situation going forward, and adjust policies as needed. Be that reinstating the mask requirements, the vaccination requirements, or both. We will not make a last-second decision. So be assured that we will give attendees as much leads time as possible to adjust to any policy changes we make. It is recommended to follow Furry Migration on one of the social media platforms we are on or monitor our main website for any updates. https://telegram.me/furrymigration
Tl;Dr: Stay home and take care of yourself. We would prefer that you avoid being in close contact with attendees. It’s understandable that you want to attend the convention, but even if it’s not COVID-19 risking others health with any type of virus really is not cool. The convention will be back next year, and we will have an online presence again this year. So, you won’t miss out on everything.
Yes. Including the larger venue spaces such as mainstage and dealers.
